Project Maitri

Project Maitri is a dedicated initiative during 2023 - 24 striving for systemic change to better prevent, reduce and respond to family violence in South Asian communities in Victoria. Rooted in the essence of "Maitri," Project Maitri is a systemic approach to addressing family violence in South Asian communities, aimed at improving integration between primary prevention, early intervention, and crisis response services. It focuses on expanding networks, creating clear referral pathways, and building trust among practitioners to ultimately improve support for the community.
