The Family Violence Prevention program has been funded by the Department of Premier and Cabinet through the Multicultural Affairs and Social Cohesion division to support gender equality and address prevention of family violence in the Indian community in Victoria.

Ujala Women’s Wellbeing Group

for Indian origin women Workshops will be run fortnightly on Thursdays from 4.30 to 5.30 pm over Zoom and will cover topics such as Strength Based Positive Parenting, Conflict Resolution, Building Respectful Relationships.

Project UJALA Launch

Had a wide and varied participation with 66 participants including community members, organisations, advocates, researchers, academicians, community members and representation from different Local Government Areas.

Didi Bahini Samaj Leadership Training Program

This 2 day program was attended by over 15 women leaders from the Nepali community. The DBS group acknowledged that the training facilitated by IndianCare would support their ongoing community work and enhance community engagement, advocacy skills and leadership.

Family Wellbeing Program

delivered in eight sessions for Aintree Women’s group and focused on: a) Strength based positive parenting, b) Communicating with children, c) Resolving conflict in relationships, d) Respectful relationships.
