Through The Smith Family and the Brimbank Communities for Children, IndianCare conducted an online cultural competency training for 25 family services and early years workers. Topics included an understanding of the Indian community in Australia, family patterns, parenting practices, barriers to service engagement and suggested strategies.
As part of cohealth’s LDAT project, IndianCare conducted a parenting session for Chin community members. It was well attended with strong positive feedback.
IndianCare, in partnership with ECCV, hosted an NDIS awareness session for the Indian community, in Wyndham.
