Local Drug Action Team Community Programs

IndianCare works to prevent alcohol abuse in the Indian community, with the support of the Victorian Drug and Alcohol Foundation (ADF). Our LDAT programs deliver support to Indian seniors in a way that is culturally sensitive, and aims to empower the communities we serve.

LDAT Programs

IndianCare successfully implemented 2 LDAT projects in 2019 and 2020:

  • Western LDAT (WAAT)
  • South East Action Team (SEAT)

Both projects were community led, evidence-based, preventative programs delivered in collaboration with 10 individual partners and led by IndianCare. A rigorous co-design process informed the delivery of Community Action Plans tailored to the needs of each locality.
